As we worked with our Global Merchant client, they communicated that there were a few features that they needed to implement. Below are the features we've implemented.
Matching Objects Using ID
Our client had synchronized their data between M-Files and Vantage to ensure a seamless 1:1 correspondence. Upon extracting the data, they required a means to link the document object with the respective Vendor in the extracted data. Leveraging the Vendor's ID, we implemented logic to search within M-Files for a matching Vendor based on the extracted Vendor ID. This enhancement facilitated a smooth integration between Vantage and M-Files, enhancing their existing automation capabilities.
Manual Review Authentication
Upon realizing that the manual review link stored on the document object was accessible to all, our client swiftly sought assistance from ABBYY Vantage support. Following their guidance, we swiftly implemented a configuration to enhance the review link with authentication capabilities. This adjustment ensured that only authorized users could access and conduct reviews, aligning perfectly with our client's security requirements.
Handling 404 Errors
Encountering a challenge where manual review links expired, our client reached out for assistance. After consulting with ABBYY Vantage support, we discovered that transactions have a 14-day expiration period. To fix this, upon receiving a 404 status indicating a transaction could not be found, we promptly implemented a configuration to generate a new transaction if such an error occurs automatically. This proactive feature ensures that documents older than 14 days do not get overlooked, aligning perfectly with our client's needs.
Overall, the enhancements we introduced not only catered to our client's specific needs but also showcased the adaptability of the Vantage application for potential future clients. The customizable nature of Vantage truly allows for tailored solutions to meet any client's requirements.
