Syl Search Machine Learning Project

As we approach the end of 2021 I thought a short update on our development project might be worthwhile. We have now incorporated the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) into topic modeling within Syl Search which can be used to classify text in a document to a particular topic.

To date, we have only tested this with relatively small corpuses but initial results are encouraging. The LDA will run through the corpus and return a set of topics into the single pane of glass for Syl Search which then prompts users to search for the documents containing those topics.
