New release of Redaction Service

TEAM IM is in the process of creating a new redaction service that takes the benefits of the other redaction offerings we have had in the past and combines them into a single application. The largest improvement from this new version comes from using new viewer capabilities as our tool for handling the documents. PrizmDoc, our viewer technology is able to efficiently render a document in a browser and also has integrated redaction API endpoints, allowing for a seamless process.

Users will be able to define specific text strings or regular expressions, which will be searched for in the document to find any sensitive data that needs to be hidden. With PrizmDoc acting as the both the viewer and the redaction agent, we are able to be able to see all of the redactions that were found directly on the document. From there, users have the ability to make any updates they want to the redacted sections, or manually add their own to the file via the PrizmDoc viewer.

All of the redactions found by the system are listed on the side of the page so users can easily view all of the found redactions to make sure that they are all correct. The redactions are labeled with the name of the redaction set that was applied to the text, making it easy to identify why a particular section of the document was marked for redaction. When users are satisfied with the results, performing the redaction is as simple as hitting a button, which will give you back your document as a PDF file with the redactions fully burned into the page.
