Everyone knows in order to deliver cutting-edge technology and software that meets customer's business needs we need to first understand what those needs are, the level of importance of each feature, how the business wants features to function, and what "success" looks like to each stakeholder. This is where our requirements gathering sessions play a vital role in each and every project to truly understand what each business member wants and envisions as a success. Think of it this way, if a customer sees a successful delivery as receiving a cake and the baker thinks they wanted a pie, that is two very different outcomes that impact the overall experience. While some people view receiving a pie as a success, the customer wouldn't because they expected a cake.

Here at TEAM IM, we believe in digging deeper to understand the business goals, what each feature needs in order to meet and exceed business needs, and ensuring alignment across the business. We do so by conducting requirements gathering sessions with both our Delivery Leads and Solution Architects to capture and discuss each feature. We then ask questions, provide recommendations and options, and come up with a detailed solution design that carves the roadmap for the delivery build. 

Throughout the build, our Solution Engineers and team continuously review the solution design and touch base with Solution Architects to ensure they are following the requirements and building functionality that aligns with what customers envision. Once the feature or product is build-complete, it's turned over to the business to review, verify, and test. That way customers can provide feedback and ask questions as if they are an end user before deploying to production.

As you can tell, gathering requirements and ensuring alignment is vital to ensure TEAM IM meets every business goal because those requirements are what drive the delivery.
