How TEAM IM Helped the Customer

When TEAM IM was called in to help SNF, each division had their own document saving and storing procedures.  Similar departments within each division also operated differently.  Important content was stored in multiple locations using different naming conventions and folder structures and could be very hard to find.  Locating important documents was incredibly difficult often taking hours to locate the correct version of a document.  

SNF embarked on a mission to improve their processes and systems, and they called TEAM IM to help.  TEAM IM helped establish M-Files as the single source of truth for all document storage, including implementing streamlined workflows and helping to standardize and consolidate processes between locations. This provided SNF with a much more efficient document management system and provided effective version control for all content.  By creating a document storage system that was able to effectively represent the business processes through metadata instead of folders, the entire company has been able to gain efficiencies.

Importantly, since SNF was making process changes within the organization and implementing new technology at the same time, SNF chose to take an incremental approach to implementation.  This meant that changes to the system often meant refining previous decisions and configurations.   The flexibility of M-Files dramatically aided in facilitating this incremental approach.  Throughout the process TEAM IM helped SNF expand and refine their processes as their users became familiar with all of the capabilities of using M-Files.  

Along with M-Files, the team at SNF determined that M-Connect Construction Management would bring value to many of their projects. By implementing this tool, SNF is now beginning to extend their M-Files capabilities outside of the walls of the company and collaborate with everyone from vendors to their parent corporation overseas on RFI's, RFP's and other collaborative processes.  Rather than sending e-mail messages, and chasing down follow up responses in various in-boxes across the organization, vendors and corporate managers interact directly with the M-Files content and processes. 

With the help of TEAM IM and the power and capability of M-Files and M-Connect, SNF is well on their way through their multi-phase project to revamp their processes and deliver an outstanding return on their investment.
