Client Background

Himmelwright, Huguley & Boles (HHB) is an accounting firm based in Alabama. They help their clients handle compliance, payroll, and software support as well as a range of other services including tax strategies to reduce liability and risk.

In order to best serve their clients, HHB leverages a range of applications that include CCH Axcess, Xero, M-Connect, and Dropbox Sign. To keep all of these programs working effectively in conjunction with one another, HHB utilizes M-Files.

Project Details

HHB was already using M-Files’ metadata driven functionalities to assign clients to team members and automate processes as well as organizing data from external systems like CCH Axcess. The team at HHB found that Xero, CCH’s internal accounting system, was lagging. That’s when TEAM IM was brought into the fold.

Thanks to TEAM IM’s extensive knowledge of M-Files and how it can best be used in conjunction with other applications, opportunities for better integrations and automations were identified and implemented. TEAM IM had already developed an integration between CCH Axcess and M-Files, so adapting that integration to connect Xero to M-Files was a natural evolution. This allows invoices built in Xero to automatically transfer into M-Files as new objects, making them more easily searchable by team members without the lag that had been slowing down the invoice management process.

Additionally, TEAM IM was able to help HHB integrate Dropbox Sign into their existing M-Connect platform. This allows clients to sign important documents electronically without the need for printing and mailing hard copies of everything. In fact, because of the integrations TEAM IM has developed, HHB is able to send documents such as engagement letters to clients for signing directly through their M-Connect systems without so much as an email attachment.
