TEAM IM’s Contribution

The Fine Art division had been using a paper-based system to manage the tracking of items from auction houses to warehouses to be picked up and delivered to their new owners.  The outdated processes could no longer meet their needs and were not meeting the expectations of their clients.  Specifically, the company needed the ability to do a better job of managing the chain of custody of high value items and guarantee safe and undamaged delivery of the items to their new owners.  

Before TEAM IM was contacted, the paper-based system made it time consuming and very difficult to keep tabs on where items were in their delivery process.  Monitoring the items in transit for damage was very difficult and error prone as well.  The company wanted to utilize their investment in the M-Files platform to improve their tracking processes and after discussing their needs with M-Files, the Global Relocation & Logistics Services company selected TEAM IM to revamp and revitalize their processes.

The experts at TEAM IM worked closely with the Global Relocation & Logistics company to redesign their business processes and workflows to be more efficient and flexible.  The new processes were deployed using a state of the art implementation of M-Files and M-Connect Field Services.  The JourneyApps integration in M-Connect Field Services provided an ability to tailor the design of the mobile interface to meet all of the initial requirements for the project and accommodate future improvement and system expansion.  From critical functionality to support e-signatures and capturing photographs at key points in the process to accurately devising formulas to estimate the packing materials that will be used, they wanted to make a huge leap forward from their existing paper system.  

The relationship between TEAM IM and the Global Relocation & Logistics company has proven fruitful.  It has allowed them to be more efficient, flexible and competitive and now they can easily keep visual tabs on items throughout the process as well as track chain of custody electronically.  The success of the system has positioned them well for future growth.
