TEAM IM partnered with the City of Seattle, Washington’s Information Technology Department, on behalf of Seattle Public Utilities, Seattle City Light, and their Utility Assistance Programs (UAPs). The City Government of Seattle employs approximately 10,000 people, and City IT is responsible for over 900 individual applications.
The City of Seattle engaged in a process to upgrade WebCenter Content to the latest version to ensure the highest standards of security, stability, and functionality for the applications which service citizens. This effort included migrating multiple highly complex custom applications and their underlying data. When challenges arose which compromised the City's timeline, TEAM IM's involvement was requested to assist with clearing those hurdles and completing the project.
In the midst of the City's upgrade project, TEAM IM's assistance was requested to supplement City IT staff in completing the migration of application data. TEAM IM engaged with multiple resources, working to uplift the capacity of City IT in the effort and to apply experience with WebCenter to overcoming technical challenges as they appeared. Ultimately the underlying migration effort and entire upgrade project were completed successfully.
